About the Fellowship
The AfOx Visiting Fellowship runs for 12 months, combining both virtual and in-person engagement:
- 10 months of virtual collaboration with an Oxford-based researcher
- 2 months residency at the University of Oxford (UK) between April and June (Trinity Term)
Fellows will be affiliated with:
- An Oxford academic department
- An Oxford college
This provides access to academic mentorship, research resources, and a global network of scholars.
Key Requirement
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Secure an Oxford-based collaborator
- Submit a research proposal aligned with their collaborator and fellowship themes
⚠️ This is a mandatory requirement — applications without a collaborator will not be considered.
