Free Online Course in Implementation Research

Researchers, public health professionals, academics and postgraduate students can enrol in a free online Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Implementation Research, organised by the World Health Organization's Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR), through its Eastern Mediterranean Regional Training Centre. The course is designed to help participants understand how proven interventions can be translated into real-world practice. It explores how to identify barriers to implementation, engage relevant stakeholders, evaluate implementation strategies and scale up approaches that demonstrate results. Running from October 19 to December 15, 2026, the course provides an opportunity for learners to strengthen their research skills and understand how evidence-based solutions can be adopted and implemented in practical settings. Registration is free, and a certificate is available upon successful completion.
