How We Got Here

The Problem
A gap that costs careers
Every day, thousands of life-changing opportunities — fellowships, scholarships, jobs — go unfilled because qualified young Africans simply never hear about them. The information gap is real, and it costs careers.
The Idea
Built from lived experience
Naa Korlikie experienced this firsthand — spending hours searching across dozens of websites for opportunities that should have been easy to find. She decided to build the platform she wished had existed for her.
2026 — Launch
Born in Accra, for all of Africa
Youth Career Nexus launched from Accra, Ghana with a simple promise: every young African deserves equal access to opportunity. We started with a curated opportunity board and an AI CV generator powered by Claude.
Today
200+ opportunities and growing
We now serve users across Africa with 200+ verified opportunities, AI-powered matching, interview prep and 20 professional CV templates — all free. New opportunities added daily.

Naa Korlikie is a Programme Coordination and Partnerships professional with a background in Management Information Systems from Ashesi University.

She built Youth Career Nexus after experiencing firsthand how difficult it is for young Africans to discover quality opportunities. She is on a mission to democratise access to career opportunities across all 54 African nations — using technology to level the playing field for the next generation of African professionals.
