About this opportunity

The University of Twente Scholarship (UTS) 2027 is inviting applications from outstanding students from non-EU/EEA countries who wish to pursue an eligible Master's degree in the Netherlands. The scholarship provides between €3,000 and €22,000 for one year and is intended to help compensate for study-related costs. For students enrolled in a two-year Master's programme, an additional scholarship of an amount equal to the first year's award may be available for the second year, provided the student meets the required academic progress conditions. The University of Twente Scholarship is highly competitive and is aimed at academically excellent students. The university indicates that successful candidates are generally among the top 5-10% of their graduating class at their home university. For Master's programmes starting in September 2027, the scholarship application period opens on 15 October 2026 at 09:00 CET, with applications closing on 1 April 2027 at 16:00 CET.

Who Can Apply?

The University of Twente Scholarship is intended for excellent students from non-EU/EEA countries applying for qualifying Master’s programmes.

Applicants must meet all of the university’s scholarship requirements.

To qualify, applicants must have been provisionally or fully admitted to an eligible UT Master’s programme beginning in the 2027/2028 academic year.

Applicants must also have a University of Twente student number and must not have previously graduated from a UT undergraduate or graduate programme.
