The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) is inviting applications for the position of Associate Professional - Statistics within its Knowledge, Policy and Finance Centre (KPFC) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The opportunity is aimed at young professionals with quantitative, statistical, mathematical, engineering or economics backgrounds who want to contribute to international renewable energy research and data analysis. The successful candidate will support the collection, validation, analysis and dissemination of renewable energy statistics used by governments, researchers and policymakers to inform energy planning and monitor international development commitments. The position offers an indicative annual salary of US$36,000 to US$54,000, together with accommodation support, potential relocation assistance, health insurance and other applicable benefits. The initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility of extension. Applications must be submitted by 29 October 2026 at midnight Abu Dhabi local time.
