🎓 Internship
Non-U.S. citizen students interested in gaining practical experience in an international diplomatic environment are invited to apply for the Foreign National Student Internship Program (FNSIP) at the U.S. Embassy in Burundi. The programme provides eligible foreign national students with a unique opportunity to experience a foreign affairs work environment and gain exposure to the operations of a U.S. diplomatic mission. Unlike many international internship opportunities, the FNSIP is specifically designed for non-U.S. citizens who are interested in experiencing professional work within the U.S. Mission in Burundi. However, prospective applicants should note that the internship is unpaid and does not include benefits. Participation also does not create any entitlement or rights to future employment with the U.S. Mission or the U.S. government.
Who Can Apply?
The FNSIP is intended for non-U.S. citizen students who are interested in undertaking a student internship with the U.S. Mission in Burundi.
Applicants should meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the official internship advertisement and application materials issued by the U.S. Embassy in Burundi.
Students considering the programme should carefully review the official documents before submitting an application to ensure that they meet the requirements.
The opportunity may be particularly attractive to students seeking practical international experience while continuing their academic development.
