Google DeepMind is inviting expressions of interest from qualified PhD researchers for a 2027 Student Researcher position focused on emergent capabilities of video models in Zurich, Switzerland. The research opportunity will explore how advanced video-generation and multimodal models develop and demonstrate capabilities, including visual intelligence, reasoning and other behaviours that may emerge as models become more sophisticated. The six-month, full-time position offers researchers an opportunity to contribute to an emerging area of artificial intelligence research while working with Google DeepMind researchers Robert Geirhos and Thaddäus Wiedemer.
