The Futurescot AI Challenge 2025 invites public sector organisations in Scotland to develop innovative, responsible, and practical AI solutions that improve lives and service delivery. This challenge is your chance to turn bold ideas into reality—without the need for heavy financial or resource commitments.

Organised by Futurescot in collaboration with Storm ID, the initiative offers shortlisted applicants access to workshops, expert support, and a fully developed AI Proof of Concept (POC).

✅ Who Can Apply?

Public sector bodies in Scotland, including:

• The Scottish Government and its agencies
• Local governments

• Non-departmental public bodies (NDPBs)
• Arms-Length External Organisations (ALEOs)

📌 How It Works

1. Apply Online
Submit your AI project idea by 22 August 2025 via the application form.

2. Get Shortlisted
Three organisations will be selected based on innovation, impact, scalability, and ethical alignment.

3. Workshop + AI Proof of Concept
Work with Storm ID to shape your idea and develop an AI POC.

4. Showcase & Win
Present your AI project at the Digital Scotland 2025 conference on 19 November 2025, where the final winner will be announced.
